What’s Inside?

COBALT | 500mg

Cobalt is converted by rumen bacteria into vitamin B12, essential for energy metabolism, and therefore optimum growth. A constant supply of cobalt is needed.

IODINE | 3,400mg

lodine is an essential component of the thyroid hormones, responsible for regulating metabolism and body processes.

SELENIUM | 500mg

Selenium is essential for normal cell function and maintaining immunity levels. Selenium helps to neutralise harmful free radicals and protect cells from oxidative stress. Selenium is also important in supporting good fertility.

COPPER | 27g

Copper (optional) is required for critical enzymes involved in energy metabolism, hormone production and red blood cell metabolism. A deficiency can be due to low dietary levels, or presence of antagonists in soil, water, or feed.

Also contains levels of manganese and zinc to support immunity, reproductive health, growth, and metabolism.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Tracesure last?

Tracesure® Advanced delivers a consistent supply of essential trace elements to animals for up to six months (180 days). What sets it apart is the steady and reliable release of these elements throughout the entire period. Scientific research has confirmed that the weight loss, and therefore trace element release, occurs at the consistent and gradual rate.

When to give trace element bolus to cattle?

Tracesure® Advanced is designed for year-round use, with particular benefit during key stages such as pre-calving, pre-breeding, and turnout. The bolus should not be administered more frequently than every six months, unless otherwise directed by a veterinary surgeon.

How to supplement copper in cattle

Copper supplementation in cattle needs to be carefully managed. Too little can cause deficiency problems, but too much can lead to toxicity. Tracesure® Advanced supplies a controlled release copper oxide gradually over six months. Always confirm copper deficiency with testing before supplementation.

The boluses can be easily placed in the animal’s rumen, and they remain active for a full six-month period.

Looking to Improve Your Dry Cow Period?

Having a consistent supply of essential trace elements during the dry cow period is critical for immune function, energy metabolism, and colostrum production. A deficiency can lead to decreased milk production, metabolic diseases, reduced fertility, and compromised calf thrift.

Even high-quality forage often fails to supply adequate trace elements during this period, and as calving approaches a cow’s appetite typically declines or fluctuates.

Tracesure® Advanced is designed to provide a controlled and consistent supply of trace elements, ensuring cows are adequately prepared for transition and calving.
